After almost 10 years, the Juniors’ Cut and Blowdry competition is back! A category in David’s Salon Hair Olympics of years past, the Juniors Cut and Blowdry will return to the David’s Salon stage for Hairlympics 2020 to highlight the skill and potential of Junior stylists. Unlike other categories that will have finished entries presented on the runway, this category will have Junior stylists creating their entries on stage for 30 mins during the event. “The juniors who will join this category are very brave. Since it’s live and has a time limit, it’s a test not just of your skills but also your composure and determination,” says David’s Salon Training Director Lorna Sandoval. This category will definitely be a show-stopper, and we cannot wait to see what the Juniors have up their talented sleeves!

This category is open to Junior stylists below 30 years old. Hair must be pre-colored, and may be permed or straightened before the live competition. A minimum of 2 inches must be cut from the original length of hair. Entries will be judged with the following criteria: Color – 10%, Precision – 30%, Creativity is 30%, Wearability – 30%. For this category, the Grand Champion will get P8,000 prize, 1st runner will get P6,000, while the 2nd runner up will get P4,000 cash. All winners will be given a plaque. Aside from this, honorable mentions will be selected and given certificates.

Junior stylists, it’s your turn to dazzle us! David’s Salon Hairlympics 2020 will be held on January 21-22, 2020 at the Blue Leaf Filipinas.
