Three David’s Salon senior stylists were especially selected to create hairstyles for the Davines Hair on Stage Manila last October 21, 2019 at the Marquis Events Place in Taguig. A celebration of Davines Philippines’ 20th Anniversary, the grand event brought together participants from all over the globe to witness hairdressing creativity and expertise, all while emphasizing Davines’ thrust of sustainable beauty.
Four distinguished international artists were there to showcase styling ingenuity at its finest: ALLILON from UK, Rikyu by Boy Tokyo from Japan/Thailand, Danny Pato from New Zealand, and Republic of Color (Davines International Artistic Team). With that incredible global lineup, Davines Philippines did not disappoint with its chosen representatives – the first ever Davines Creative Style Academy (CSA) All Stars. From over a hundred local stylists who have been trained by the Creative Style Academy since its inception in 2015, only twenty were selected to be part of the CSA All Stars. Three David’s Salon Senior Stylists made the cut – Christian Balean (David’s Salon SM Sucat, CSA Batch 2015), Andrew Mojica (David’s Salon Kamias, CSA Batch 2016), and Vher Macasu (David’s Salon Trinoma, CSA Batch 2015). Two collections that took inspiration from Filipino culture were presented – The Banig, and The Baybayin. Balean and Mojica were part of the Banig collection, while Macasu was with Baybayin.
Aside from the hair shows, Davines also discussed their values. Davines CEO Paolo Braguzzi took to the stage to present the brand’s initiatives to create sustainable products and live up to their mission of sustainable beauty. From ingredients, packaging, to distribution, Davines has gone to great lengths to make sure that their products are effective, safe, ethical, and environmentally friendly. The outstanding event, which was attended by over 1,000 local and 300 foreign attendees, was a gathering of creative people by a brand whose noble mission is truly relevant in the world today.
