As the official hair and makeup artists of Binibining Pilipinas, David’s Salon was an integral part of the 40 candidates’ most important activities on their road to the crown this 2019.

Activities kicked off with the candidates’ photo shoot for their official photos last March 20 to 21. The David’s Salon team worked with the Binibining Pilipinas team and photographer Raymond Saldana at the New Frontier Theater, styling and helping the girls get their best looks for their very important official first photos.

On April 4, the David’s Salon did the hair and makeup for the Press Presentation at Novotel. It was the first time that the girls were introduced to the press. As the Press Presentation was one of the activities that would determine their pre-pageant scores (which would be used to select the Top 25), it was crucial that the girls looked their best.

The ladies visited the David’s Salon Head Office last April 10 for their Official Sponsors’ Visit. They learned about the long-standing partnership of Binibining Pilipinas and David’s Salon. To give them a mini-break during their busy pageant season, they all were treated to manipedis and massages, and a buffet of British, Indian, and Italian food from Mr. David Charlton’s own Union Jack Tavern.

From May 21 to 23, the candidates were split in two groups. One group went to Vigan, Ilocos Norte, and the other, to Boracay, for their ABS-CBN shoots. David’s Salon was there through all the shoots for all the girls, making their hair and makeup look perfect, from sun up to sun down.

The Grand Parade of Beauties is a fan-favorite activity where people can see their candidates up close. Held at Araneta Center last May 25, the ladies donned floral headpieces and gumamela swimwear while riding convertible sports cars. Their hair and makeup was fresh and beautiful, as friendly faces cheered them on at the parade.

All the stylists geared up for the National Costume, Jag, and World Balance Fashion Show last May 29 at the New Frontier Theater. The stylists worked very closely with the candidates to make sure that the candidates’ hair and makeup complemented their national costumes perfectly.

Only the most glamorous would do for the FrontRow Cares and the Universe Gives Back Charity Fashion Gala at the Marriot Grand Ballroom last June 4. The stylists’ best beauty arsenal was used to create high-fashion looks that matched the couture designs of Albert Andrada, Rhett Eala, Michael Leyva, Ito Curata, Jot Losa, Avel Bacudio, Cherry Veric, and Martin Bautista.
